Gateway Jazz Ensemble reunion concert benefitting Springboard to Learning in St. Louis

Karla heads to her hometown of St. Louis for a special reunion concert of the venerable group, Gateway Jazz Ensemble

Gateway Jazz Ensemble, featuring beloved jazz vocalist and St. Louis' First Lady of Jazz Jeanne Trevor, performed hundreds of concerts over decades as part of the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning outreach. Karla performed with the group during her college years, and Ms. Trevor was one of her earliest mentors in jazz.

Today, Young Audiences is affiliated with the Springboard for the Arts foundation. For this evening, Springboard is hosting a fundraiser that brings together members of Gateway Jazz Ensemble for a special reunion concert. The event also honors Jeanne Trevor, special guest, for her decades-long devotion to jazz, theatre and arts education.

The concert will be held at Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
